Gan Shalom accepts children who are between 2 years and 5 years of age as of September 1st of the enrolling year. Children must be 2 years old to be admitted.

Gan Shalom Preschool offers an all day program with options for early morning, morning (9:00 am-1:00 pm), and afternoon programs (1:00-5:30 pm). Preference in admission is given to children signing up for the full day in this order:

 Children of Congregation Beth Israel members

 Siblings of previously enrolled Gan Shalom children

 Residents of the immediate neighborhood

 All other applicants.

Enrollment is also based upon the readiness of the child, and on the need to balance age and gender in the class. Gan Shalom does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity or national origin.
